  Who knows what this is?

I wonder if anyone could assist me. In the rebuild of my dads M66 we have put the engine and gearbox together and have a spare gasket as shown in the photo below. Does anyone know where this gasket goes as dad can't remember and we can't find it detailed in any of the parts lists and manuals. I have asked Tony Jones and Peter Ballard but they haven't been able to shed any light on the issue.

The OD = 34mm.   the ID = 26mm.  It is a gasket paper washer, coated in the usual Russian jointing shellac. I remember taking it out but not from which part of the engine/gearbox

Would be grateful for any help

By the way, if emailing to the address below remove the 'spaces' either side of '@' this may avoid some automatic spam.

For Sale & Wanted

Please Note: As always, will the seller or potential buyer try to be specific about what the bike, sidecar or item is: 'Cossack with sidecar' always generates an image for me of a Cossack 175cc Voskhod with dou-ble-adult sidecar! ...ALSO...'Frame with logbook' is a "No No"!
